The Asset Manager Score (AMS) ranking provides an overview on the competitive landscape of the entire European asset management industry. The AMS is a newly developed key-variable which is based on both the volumes and the relative long-term performances (measured by percentile values) of all qualified funds of an asset manager. AMS values can potentially range from 1 (best AMS possible) to 100 (worst AMS possible). Hence the lower an achieved AMS the better.
The graphic depicts the Asset Manager Score (AMS) for each fund taken down on the ordinate and ranks them from worst to best on the horizontal axis, while the bubbles depict the fund volume. By weighting each researched fund's AMS with its volume one does eventually receive Veritas Asset Management's total AMS of 5.33 (rank no. 1/ as per December 31, 2012).
In case of Veritas Asset Management (UK) Limited, it is clearly observable that fund volumes are allocated correclty within Veritas' observed fund/product range (i.e. highest volumes are allocated to the funds with the highest scoring (competitive edge). Thus Veritas is rewarded with an exceptional AMS of 5.33 (as per December 31, 2012).
