Fund managers in Germany are now gearing up to structure their alternative investment products, get them approved by regulatory authorities and preparing to advertise them in the market place.
Uwe Wewel, Head of Division for Investment Law and Hedge Funds, Germany Ministry of Finance, will present the keynote address at Hedge Funds World Germany 2004 on the future of the German hedge funds industry, the regulatory changes and likely demand for hedge funds.

Dr. Heiko Seeger, CFA, Head of Equities and Alternatives Investment Department, Provinzial Rheinlandvericherung, will provide the perspective of a German institutional investor with portfolio allocation in hedge funds.
Sy Schlueter, CEO, Corpernicus Beteiligungs, will present a German single fund manager’s view on how hedge funds will be structured and distributed in light of the new investment act. Finally, Peter Newmayer, Managing Director, LION Advisors, will present the challenges faced by an institutional hedge fund moving from Bermuda to Germany and the results achieved to far for entering into the German hedge funds market.
